Like many visitors to Chebeague, Susan became enchanted on her first visit to this beautiful island off the coast of Portland, Maine.
As a nurse in Boston planning for her future, Janet envisioned living a simpler life with a smaller footprint. What she never envisioned, however, was that she would build that future herself - literally with her own two hands. But that’s what Janet did when she retired and became the general contractor for her Unity Nano.
When Dartmouth College needed new faculty housing built on a tight timeframe and to very high standards, Unity was a natural choice.
We like to say that we build each Unity Home twice: first virtually, and then actually. In the case of Unity’s Zūm-style show home, we “built” it four times: once virtually, once in our shop, once in Washington, D.C., and finally in Walpole.
