Sarah and David came to Unity with a vision for a home that would live lightly on the planet, and reflect the sense of stewardship they feel for the earth. They also saw their new home as a gift to the future, anticipating that their daughters would continue to enjoy it after they’re gone. They found the perfect property on which to build in Alstead, NH, and a company that resonated with their values in Unity Homes.
Donna and Catherine decided to move out of Provincetown after having lived there for many years, because it was getting too crowded and busy, and the maintenance on their two-story 1850s house was unceasing. The clincher was that the house was in a flood zone, and as Donna put it “in twenty years, it will be under water!” The couple were drawn to Unity’s process and values, and decided that the Xyla model with its one-floor living would work well for their needs.
When Carol and Howard embarked on the journey to build a new home, they were already experienced in home construction, having built or renovated 4 homes and moved 14 times in their more than 60 years of marriage. With this experience under their belt, they were confident in their decision to have Unity build their final retirement home.
