Building a new home can feel overwhelming, which is why we walk you through the process every step of the way. When beginning your design-build journey with Unity, we start with the design contract which we call the Preconstruction Services Agreement, or “PSA.” The PSA fee is based on your anticipated choice of design path, package type, and foundation type.
We work with you to configure the design of your home based off the design path of your choosing; either Express, Streamlined, or Personalized. These design paths offer varying levels of flexibility and tailoring, depending on your budget and specific needs.

Unity’s Express plans are the fastest and most affordable path to a Unity Home. All of the options shown on the Home Plans page are part of the Express offering which means the design is already done, so you can simply pick a plan and begin selecting the finishes and fixtures for your new home. Express plans are all built on a slab-on-grade foundation. If your site requires a basement, or if you want to combine other components and floor plans, the Streamlined path offers those options.
(DESIGN FEE : $4,000 – $9,500)
The bulk of Unity’s projects fall into the Streamlined category, because for many of our clients, this path offers the ideal combination of flexibility and cost. Streamlined projects make optimal use of Unity’s design system and of our production capabilities. Once you have chosen a design platform and provided us with information about your site, we will walk you through the step-by-step process to configure your home design from the components of our design system. The result is a plan that fits your site and your needs, created at a fraction of the cost of custom design.
