Unity Homes, a design-build company located in Walpole, NH, is seeking a full-time associate to work as an Assistant to the Project Management Team. This position is based out of our Walpole, NH office.

Unity does this by using innovative methods to design and build homes that are healthy, comfortable, and energy efficient. Established in 2012 as a spin-off from Bensonwood, Unity represents the culmination of 40 years of experience using off-site fabrication to build high quality homes. 

Position Summary

The Assistant will be a part of the Project Management team and will assist with the successful execution of all projects.  This role will be based in our Walpole, NH office and will be a part of our growing Unity team.

Responsibilities include:

  • Aiding with writing contracts and change orders
  • Doing plan takeoffs and assisting with estimating
  • Soliciting, evaluating, and comparing  vendors and subcontractors for project pricing
  • Communicating with vendors and subcontractors
  • Generating RFPs (Requests for Proposals)
  • Creating subcontracts and generating purchase orders
  • Placing material orders and coordinating deliveries with vendors
  • Processing/approving vendor invoices
  • Research products
  • Assisting in developing and implementing standard operating procedures

Ideal candidate will have:

  • Relevant work experience and/or coursework in residential construction
  • Proficiency in Microsoft (Excel, Word, etc.) and Google applications
  • Experience with, or the ability to learn, accounting software – preferably Sage 100 Contractor
  • Experience with, or the ability to learn, CAD programs

Compensation & Benefits 

  • Hourly range is $16-$21 based on experience
