Unity Homes, a design-build company located in Walpole, NH, seeks an energetic full-time associate to join the Project Management team as an Assistant to the Project Management Team.

The mission of Unity Homes is to improve lives by transforming home building for the benefit of all. Unity does this by using innovative methods to design and build homes that are healthy, comfortable, and energy-efficient. Established in 2012 as a spin-off from Bensonwood, Unity represents the culmination of 40 years of experience using off-site fabrication to build high-quality homes.

Position Summary

The Assistant will be a part of the Project Management team and will assist with the successful execution of all projects.  This role will be based in our Walpole, NH office and will be a part of our growing Unity team.

Responsibilities include:

  • Take the lead in client selection of finishes and fixtures including kitchen design
  • Aiding with contract generation and change orders
  • Plan takeoffs and selections pricing for estimating
  • Soliciting, evaluating, and comparing  vendors and subcontractors for project pricing
  • Communicating with vendors and subcontractors
  • Generating RFPs (Requests for Proposals)
  • Creating subcontracts and generating purchase orders
  • Placing material orders and coordinating deliveries with vendors
  • Processing/approving vendor invoices
  • Product research
  • Assisting in developing and implementing standard operating procedures

Ideal candidate will have:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft (Excel, Word, etc.) and Google applications
  • Polite, courteous and tactful manner with vendors, clients, company associates and the public
  • Experience with, or the ability to learn, accounting software preferably Sage 100 Contractor
  • Experience with, or the ability to learn, CAD programs

Compensation & Benefits

  • Hourly range is $18-20 based on experience
