In 2008, Bensonwood Homes and MIT's Open Source Building Alliance developed a home for the President of Unity College. It achieved both Net-Zero and LEED Platinum ratings. The design and production ideas that germinated in that highly recognized project have flowered into Zūm, which similarly features contemporary styling and extremely low energy loads. The spacious open-plan living space, practical building form, and optimized function and performance, make Zūm a true home of the future.
